Bonomelli Herbal Teas with Probiotics: innovative, tasty and technologically advanced
The Bonomelli Food Division of Gruppo Montenegro recently launched on the market its new Bonomelli-branded Herbal Teas with Probiotics: this range of herbal teas is now enhanced by the presence of one billion Bacillus Coagulans BC30® live probiotic cells, which favours the balance of intestinal flora.
This innovative product is a result of the partnership between our Food R&D Team and a team of researchers from the Micro4Food labs at Libera Università in Bolzano.
This cutting-edge product, an absolute novelty on the European market, has also been featured in the prestigious “Journal of Functional Food”, an international scientific open access journal that aims to bring together the results of fundamental and applied research into healthy foods and biologically active food ingredients. The spores of Bacillus Coagulans come to life in contact with water and heat; moreover the study by the University of Bolzano has shown that they reach the intestinal tract still alive and active, where they find ideal conditions to reproduce and grow, thus enriching our gut bacterial flora.
