Gruppo Montenegro is strongly committed to operating according to a sustainable corporation vision, thus supporting “Quality of life, any time of the day”.
The topics related to “Health, Safety & Environment” (HSE) are of paramount importance in this regard, from the point of view of the community and consumers, as well as in terms of quality of life for its Employees.
This is why Gruppo Montenegro spontaneously adopted an integrated management system for occupational and Environmental Health and Safety, according to the UNI ISO 45001:2018 – UNI ISO 14001:2015 international standards.
The Group follows these international standards with a view to determinedly promoting actions aimed at reducing its environmental impact, ensuring health and safety in the workplace, steadily enhancing corporate performance also through the continuous involvement of its stakeholders.
Gruppo Montenegro has also been awarded the UNI/PDR 125 certification for “Gender Equality”, attesting to the company’s commitment with regards to inclusion and support to the empowerment of women. The certification also ensures gender equality in terms of salary and career advancement, counteracting all stereotypes and discriminations on the workplace.
«Organic product» certification
The ORGANIC label is awarded to those products obtained through environmentally sustainable farming, that is to say growing practices with a low environmental impact that make responsible use of natural resources like water, soil and air, while also maintaining a good level of biodiversity.

This is awarded by special rabbinic authorities. In order for a product to be certified as Kosher, it must meet extremely stringent quality standards and all production and packing procedures, in addition to every single ingredient used in its preparation, must comply with the strict dietary laws of Kashrut.

Fairtrade
The objective of this project is to harness the role of individuals, helping small farmers in developing countries to build a better future through fairer working conditions.
In order to be Fairtrade-certified an organisation needs to show commitment to guaranteeing to small farmers producing spices a minimum agreed price to cover the costs of sustainable and independent production from market fluctuations, thereby enhancing their living conditions and helping them grow and thrive.

This measurement and certification tool related to gender equality on the workplace (IDEM index) is based on a rigorous scientific and “data driven” method (i.e. on objective data), which takes into account four fundamental corporate components: career path, remuneration, organisation and culture.
Rainforest Alliance
The mission of the Rainforest Alliance association is to guarantee sustainable productions through a responsible use of natural resources, mindful of humans and of the environment. Farmers and producers are provided specific guidelines and benchmarks they can follow, in order to ensure the highest possible safety and quality level.

UNI ISO 45001 2018
The UNI ISO 45001 standard of 2018 “Occupational health and safety management systems – Requirements with guidance for use” lists the minimum good practice standards for the protection of employees. It outlines a framework for improving safety, reducing risks on the workplace and enhancing workers’ health and wellbeing.
UNI/PDR 125 CERTIFICATION – GENDER EQUALITY
UNI/PdR 125:2022 is the national standard providing guidelines in respect of the gender equality management system. The reference norm, issued by UNI – the Italian standardization office – stipulates that gender equality and inclusion of diversity should be an integral part of corporate objectives, supporting a transition towards more sustainable workplaces from a social perspective.
