Amaro Montenegro: the ingredient of one of the best cocktails in the world… served in the best bar in the world

The 2019 international ranking “The World’s 50 Best Bars” crowned the New Yorker “Dante” as best bar in the world. Dante is an historic Italian-style bar based in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, that has been currently relaunched by the management, in a way that would maintain its roots and atmosphere, still bringing its cocktails, food and service to the state of the art.
Dante did not stop at this award, though.
Its “Old Fashioned” was defined as one of the best drinks in the world: a cocktail made of bitters, sugar, and whiskey — typically bourbon –revisited by Dante’s barman who, instead of traditional bitters, uses Amaro Montenegro.
