Sergio Fava appointed new Gruppo Montenegro CEO

Bologna, July 20th 2023 – Sergio Fava is the new Chief Executive Officer of Gruppo Montenegro. Mr Fava has been appointed to the role starting from July 19th, taking over from outgoing CEO Marco Ferrari, who leaves the position to pursue other career opportunities.

A seasoned top manager with a wealth of experience in leading companies within the industry, Sergio Fava joined Gruppo Montenegro in 2015. Thanks to his proven track record and leadership skills, he has held prominent roles since 2016, serving as the Director of the Spirits Division and, since 2020, as the Director of the Italian Business Unit, significantly contributing to the development of Gruppo Montenegro.
Previously, his professional journey included three years with the IDV-Grand Met group and over ten years with Bacardi-Martini. He has also served as the General Manager and CEO of Comital (Brand Cuki and Domopak), Gancia-Russian Standard and F.lli Branca Distillerie. Sergio Fava was involved in the revival of Parmalat after its financial crisis, working in Enrico Bondi’s team, and served as CEO of Panna Elena.
Sergio Fava will now lead Gruppo Montenegro, an Italian entrepreneurial reality founded in 1885 and currently a market leader in the food and alcoholic beverages sectors.
